Lynn Galletta -

Owner/Artistic Director

Lynn started dancing at the age of 6, and graduated from the National School of Ballet in Toronto, Cananda. After spending time in New York studying with David Howard Ballet and at the Martha Graham School, Galletta performed in Bob Fosse's Pippin as well as On the Town, Cinderella, Cabaret, and many others. She also performed with Alberta Ballet and California Ballet while teaching and choreographing coast to coast. Galletta came to Kitsap County in 1996 and taught and choreographed locally. She recently realized her dream by opening up her own studio and dance company.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gwen Adams-

Vocal Director/Acting Coach

Gwen has a Master's degree in business and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts that includes a minor in performing arts and a directed study in Theater in Education - using music and theater to teach any academic subject. She has directed musical theater in Idaho and Washington for 20 years with an emphasis on vocal performance, stage movement, and character development. Gwen's recent productions include "Spitfire Grill", "Forever Plaid", Nunsense", and "The Great American Trailer Park" for the Jewel Box Theater and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" for CSTOCK. Gwen plays piano, guitar, oboe, bassoon, and the saxophone. Her joy is writing music and bringing out the talent in others.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amber Haugen-

Instructor/Choreographer

Amber started dancing at the age of 4 and knew it would always be a part of her life. She has over 20 years experience as a dancer, a choreographer, and a teacher. In her career as a dancer she has performed at the Seattle Opera House in La Traviata, Dennis Spaight's Ghostsand Frank Bays' Plectrum. Amber was a dancer with Tacoma Performing Dance Company and performed in numerous Nutcrackers and choreography showcases in Washington and California. She studied with the First Chamber Dance Company and has trained with Frank Bays, who was a soloist with the Joffery Ballet. Amber also studied dance at the Pacific Northwest Ballet, and with Jo Emery Artistic Director of Tacoma Performing Dance Company. Amber is a former studio director for Liberty Bay Danceworks and assistant director for Dance Ensemble Northwest. Teaching dance is Amber’s true passion and looks forward to sharing her love of dance with all her students.

 

 

 

 

Tammy Humbert - Asst. Director/Instructor/Choreographer

Tammy began dancing at the age of 4 in her home state of Florida. She has more than 20 years of training in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical, and has had the privilege of training with such notable choreographers as Pamela Boling, Roger Minami, and Debbie Allen. As a student, Tammy had the opportunity to study, perform, and compete for companies such as Alvin Ailey, Southern Ballet, and Showstoppers. Her passion for dance led to a career performing on stage and television for corporations like Princess Cruise Lines, Sheraton Casinos, Sea World, and Walt Disney World, where she performed as Snow White, Belle, and Ariel. Tammy moved to Kitsap County in 2005 with her husband and 2 daughters. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Educational Studies from Western Governors University, and is now honored to be able to share her knowledge and love for dance to others by teaching at Galletta's.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Michael Falotico-

Instructor/Choreographer

Michael has spent his life in dance since the age of ten. He has directed, choreographed, taught and designed ballets for companies all over the United States. After leaving a performing career with Manhattan Festival Ballet and the Joffery Ballet, he founded Ballet Western Reserve, as well as guesting and choreographing for many regional companies across the United States. Michael with his wife and family retired to their roots in the Pacific Northwest where he was invvited to direct City Ballet of Portland and then Dance Ensemble Northwest in Poulsbo. Beside his active teaching schedule Michael has found time to direct and/or choreograph musicals, pagents and fashion shows for theatres and arts organizations in Oregon and Washington.

 

 

 

 

 

Chelsea Matthews - Instructor/Choreographer

Chelsea studied dance from the age of 3 and has been in love with dancing ever since. She received most of her training locally at Liberty Bay Danceworks and with their dance company, Dance Ensemble Northwest. While there, Chelsea danced numerous roles in The Nutcracker such as Spanish, Rose, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. She also received training at Western Washington University while earning her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. While at Western, Chelsea participated in a student choreographed/student danced show entitled New Music/New Dance. She is excited to be in her home town now working with the Galletta School of Dance and living with her husband, Nathaniel, their dog, Oscar, and their guinea pig,

Ashia Mills-

Instructor/Choreographer

Ashia began dancing as a child in Tacoma and then continued her dance training in Poulsbo when her family moved to the area. Most of her training came from studying under Michael Falotico, former Artistic Director of Dance Ensemble NW. She then attended Boise State University where she took ballet classes, choreography classes, and others. Ashia also taught at Backstage Dance Center in Boise for three years while going to college. For the past 16 years, Ashia has been enjoying teaching ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop in many different settings including: Boys and Girls Club, three different local studios, skating rinks, and schools. She enjoys passing her love for dance to children and teens. Currently, Ashia lives in Poulsbo with her husband and three young children.
